Dual Enrollment
|
Dual Enrollment is the process through which high school students take courses from a Technical College while still enrolled as a high school student and receive credit BOTH at the high school and Lanier Technical College.
Benefits of Dual Enrollment
- Ninety percent of your tuition books can be paid for through the HOPE GRANT.
- With Dual Enrollment, you can earn technical college credits BEFORE you even graduate high school.
- With Dual Enrollment, you can earn high school credit AND technical college credit while taking a college level course.
- With Dual Enrollment, you have the opportunity to fulfill your career pathway for high school AND earn a Technical Certificate of Credit.
- In ADDITION, you may even earn articulated technical college credit for some of your high school courses.
- It is a GREAT way to set you apart from other high school student.

Steps to enroll in Dual Enrollment
- Discuss with your parents and counselors your education plans
- Take College Entrance Exam (Compass)
- Complete Lanier Technical College Application and pay $15.00 application fee
- Sign up for Dual Enrollment Courses on High School Registration Form
- Complete HOPE GRANT Application online
- Attend College Classes while in High School (Junior and or Senior year)
- Graduate from High School with several College courses completed
